CAT - Characteristic Analyzer of TDK EMC Components
Ver.2.04.00 [2004.08.20]

"CAT" is free software which displays the electric characteristics of TDK EMC components.
Please use as a tool when EMC components are selected.

    -->It can run not only a single line simulation but also differential transmission ( the communication means adopted for IEEE1394 and USB2.0 ) simulation. It also has a function to automatically search for recommended components suitable for the settings.
  • Searching by TDK's part no. In addition , searching by characteristics of components is also available
  • Creating User-defined Filters
    -->It is possible to create a user-defined virtual filter by combining multiple components.
  • Characteristic Impedance Calculator
    -->It has a tool to calculate the characteristic impedance of each type of transmisson line.

    * "CAT" does not operate on Windows(R)95.
    CPU Intel(R) Pentium(R)III - 500MHz or higher versions are preferable
    Memory Space The preferred memory is 128MB more
    Hard-Disk Space A capacity of 50MB or more is preferable
    (To install Microsoft(R).NET Framework1.0 , an additional capacity of 100MB or more is required.)
    Monitor A display of at least 1024 x 768 with High-Color is preferable
    Mouse Required
    Others "CAT" requires Microsoft(R).NET Framework1.0 installed on the computer.(It is included in Setup.exe.)

    Exit from all active applications and double-click Setup.exe in CAT\English folder. Follow the instructions on screen to install the program. (You may need to reboot your system depending on its environment.)
    An older version of Ver.2.x will be unistalled automatically. If you have an older version of Ver.1.x , you need to uninstall it manually. (Refer to the earlier version package for information on how to uninstall.)
    In addition , the administrator permission is necessary to install "CAT".


    • Usage

    For detailed information concerning the use of this product , launch "CAT" and select the [Help] menu to access the Help data.

    Uninstalling

    Since registry is controlled , please do not delete the files from Explorer , etc.
    Please uninstall the program from "Add/Remove Programs" of "Control Panel".
